well its rather strange how you end up to your blog to jot down our thoughts when things go completely out of plans..
Just when I thought I had a idea of what i wanted and what my plans looked like, things have to go haywire; after all this is what makes life interesting after all right? From staying in Toronto for another year, to till end of september, plans have changed drastically that I might close my Canadian part of my life and head back to B'lore next week. Best Laid Plans they say never work atleast they never do.
But as the thoughts hit me that I head back home, I realize that there is so much about my life here that I havent blogged about. I have spent more than a year in this alien country, met so many people , heard way too many perspectives and in the process learnt so much about myself and where my thoughts and beliefs lie that I am surprised that I never got around to writing on the truly great experience this has been. Maybe the near end of a amazing part of my life in discovering myself and my limits has made me think about the what's which I will post once I have the time to but for now, the way things look, I should be back in Bangalore the first week of Sept.
For now, all I am telling myself is, stay focussed, stay positive and Jo Ho Raha hain ache ki liye ho raha hain!
Details to follow soon and hopefully all those missing posts that have been in the dormant days of this blog!

Indian Media - GTH one more time..
http://jknc.org/blog/?p=27
I have always been a fan of Omar Abdullah. No, I don't understand Kashmiri politics and I am too ignorant to be able to judge and take places in the Kashmiri debate. rather, it has always been the oratory skills of Omar that I have truly admired. Right from watching him on NDTV, one things that has always struck me has been the ability of Omar to be able to talk clearly and lucidly and not take some dumb rhetoric illogical position. He is one person to me - whether he is right or not, who has atleast been able to present his point of view.
Now when Omar decided to blog and I added him to my feeds I knew I would like to read this man's posts. A tad too lengthy at times but you got to admire the fact that a politician is actually coming out in the open and willing to write what is on his mind without any hidden agenda.
And what does our Indian Media do - throws it out of proportion. Infact I don't think there can be a far better classical example of how stupid our media can be. Why else would you take one line from a post of 100 lines, blow it out of proportion and make it "Breaking News".
Indian media loves Rahul Gandhi, but unfortunately apart from Gandhi talk I have never seen Rahul ever express his points of view and thoughts. Infact there has never been a concrete plan ever from Rahul and whenever asked the tough questions, he has side stepped them or better yet, chosen to stay away from the media and take the easy way out.
Now I know why Rahul has chosen the path of silence. If the words of a state leader of India's most controversial state can be thrown out of proportion , imagine what will happen when Rahul Rajeev Gandhi decides to express himself.
Times Group - I boycott you from here on, for the sheer reason that you are the dumbest of them all out there.

Heading Home!
Its been 10 months since I landed here in Toronto. I have been through the coldest winter Toronto has seen in years. Seen more than enough snow in life and come to the point where white is definitely on the list of to see colors in life and now I am heading back home for a 3 week vacation. Yay yay! :-)
In almost 3 years I have taken hardly 3 breaks and none more than 1 week. With leaves stacked up and with my energy levels going to abysmally low levels at work I knew it was time to head back , forget work and everything to do with it for a few weeks and get pampered with mom's food and love for a few weeks.
So all you friends who read my blog - heading to mumbai on April 18. Will leave back on May 11. Give me a shout. Cheers!
